In 1993, an ancient site in the form of stepped stones (bebaturan) was discovered buried at the foot of Mount Batukaru by the elders. Initially, this place was a private location for meditation, not widely known to the public. After receiving spiritual guidance that Ida Sang Hyang Mahadewa resides here, the construction of shrines in the form of statues began until 1998, before the temple was finally handed over for public use. Since then, we have continued to renovate and develop this temple thanks to the sincere help from various parties, including Singapore, Jakarta, Malaysia, and Medan. The peak came in 2008, when thousands of devotees from Java, abroad, and even India, flocked to seek guidance from Ida who resides in this Pura Siwa. We, as the temple managers, openly welcome all who come with good intentions, without compromising their individual beliefs. This Pura Siwa is universal, open to the public, and does not distinguish between religions, adapting to personal beliefs. However, we ask visitors to also respect the noble Balinese culture.
