In 1993, a site consisting of stacked stones or 'bebaturan' was discovered buried at the foot of Mount Batukaru by the elders. Not many people knew about this place for meditation, as it was a private spot. After receiving spiritual guidance that Ida Sang Hyang Mahadewa resides in this place, the construction of statues within the temple began until 1998, and then the temple was handed over for public use. Since then, we have continued to renovate and develop this temple with various assistance from many sources such as Singapore, Jakarta, Malaysia, and Medan. Until 2008, many devotees came from various places such as Java, abroad, India, many came here seeking guidance from Ida who resides in this Pura Siwa. As temple managers, we welcome all people who come with good intentions without abandoning their respective beliefs. Pura Siwa is universal and open to the public, regardless of religious differences, adapted to each person's beliefs. However, we request that our culture in Bali also be respected.
